Birth of the baby buffalo not only signifies spring and rebirth of all things; but also the rebirth of the buffalo herds themselves. All of us “westerners” are proud to see the buffalo return to significant numbers after almost becoming extinct in the 1880s.
Pete is a classically trained artist; attending the Art Institute and graduating from the American Academy of Art in Chicago. After completing his first oil painting in 1949, he continued his “Journey in Art” as a personal life adventure.
Pete has illustrated or painted almost every day of his adult life. After many years of commercial art, illustrating and publishing a line of educational coloring books. Twenty years ago the family moved to the Black Hills. Printing and shipping from the family commercial printing company in Rapid City, he has helped many local artists become self-published.
Only recently has Pete shown his oils on canvas; which are his first love. Peter is the signature artist at Boulevard Gallery in Rapid City.
