This real buffalo skull is a depiction of Indian War paint of the Eagle.  It has a hand scrimshaw on the nasal bone of an Eagle in flight.  Hand loomed beads (by the American Indians) of an eagle as a head band across the forehead.  It is also adorned in tourmaline, feathers, horse hair and acrylic paint on the face.

Nancy has been a resident of Custer, SD for over 11 years.  She has been an artist since she was 17 years old.  She was a cartographer at the University of Texas for over 10 years and has continued with her art up to the present.  This is her third year participating in the Custer Stampede Buffalo Art Auction.
